Still dreaming of Skaneateles: A summer that lingers

Yesterday, I spent the day reminiscing about my summer weekend trip to Skaneateles, NY. My beau and I miss it dearly, so we both like to savor those memories whenever we can. Strolling through the park was enchanting. The sparkling fountain and the gentle breeze coming off the lake made the moment feel picturesque and peaceful.

We also loved our dinner cruise. It was such a lovely experience drifting along the lake while learning about the area’s history. It felt especially meaningful as we took in the moment together, newly engaged and soaking up the romance of it all. The atmosphere was charming, intimate, and cozy. Everything you’d want in a lakeside evening. If you ever find yourself in the area, be sure to check out Mid-Lakes Navigation. They offer a variety of options, from relaxing lunch cruises to magical moonlight trips. There’s something for everyone.

My beau captured some lovely videos that weekend, especially of the outfits I wore for the blog. He’s so supportive and genuinely enjoys documenting these little moments of me in my fits, something I truly appreciate. I wore yellow practically the entire weekend, it’s my favorite color, and I had a feeling this might be the weekend 💍

For our evening dinner cruise, I chose a lovely yellow sundress that felt both romantic and relaxed. I paired it with my white Birkenstocks for comfort, and finished the look with a woven bag and my rosy peach sunglasses.

On Saturday, as we toured the town and browsed the local shops, I wore a maxi dress paired with faux leather flip-flops, easy, comfortable, and perfect for a warm day of exploring. I snapped a quick selfie at the Sherwood Inn, where we were staying. The charm of that historic inn made the perfect backdrop.

This was such a simple, romantic weekend, elegant in its own quiet way. It felt fancy, yet still cozy and heartwarming. Mostly, it was so special because I got to spend every moment with my beau.
