Summer Linen Love
You know I have a soft spot for linen—especially in the warmer months. So when I was on the hunt for new pieces to style, I stumbled across this light blue linen maxi slip skirt and instantly fell for it. The fabric was so buttery soft, I had to try it on right then and there. Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint.
The ease and comfort are everything I want from summer clothing, but what surprised me was how put together I felt in it. It's relaxed yet polished in that effortless kind of way. I paired it with my go-to Birkenstocks (because, of course) and it was a match made in warm-weather heaven. I knew immediately this skirt needed its own moment on the blog.

While styling the skirt, I also found a denim vest—and you all know how much I love mixing textures. Vest suits have been trending this year, so I figured, why not give this one a shot? The vest fits snug in all the right places, flattering without feeling tight, and the denim adds just the right amount of edge to balance out the softness of the linen.

Put the two together—the light skirt with the structured denim vest—and I about died. It’s one of those unexpected combinations that just works. It’s comfortable, flattering, and feels very me.
Now the real question: is this the look for my upcoming dinner cruise date in July? I’ve got two other contenders (stay tuned—they’ll be making appearances on the blog soon), but there’s something about this outfit that feels just right for a romantic weekend getaway. Decisions, decisions.
Oh, and I have to share another styling idea I’ve been loving for this gorgeous linen skirt: pairing it with a playful graphic tee. I found one that says “Mood Swings,” with little cartoon swings showing happy and sad faces—it’s quirky and somehow totally adorable. This combo brings a more relaxed vibe to the skirt, making it feel fun and approachable. Definitely not dinner cruise material, but perfect for a laid-back brunch or a slow, picturesque walk in the park. It’s easy, it’s expressive, and it still lets the skirt shine in that effortless way I can’t get enough of.
